How the Arts Create the Competitive Edge for Students

It was wonderful to see so many parents at Open House! I enjoyed the opportunity to meet you and discuss what your child is learning in music class.

We are very lucky to live in a district that values an education in the arts. Have you ever wondered how an education in the fine arts impacts your child as he or she is older? Nequa Valley will be hosting a program to explain the value of the arts as part of a child's education.  Several guests speakers from the corporate world and the world of higher education will be addressing "How the Arts Create the Competitive Edge for Students."  This event will take place on Thursday evening, February 9, at 7:00 p.m.  This program is free to the public and will be held in the Gold Building Forum Room. If you are not familiar with NV's campus, the Gold Building is behind the 95th Street baseball fields along Cedar Glade Drive on the southwest corner of the campus.

I have included a link to the flyer.

Have a great week!
