All of the classes are learning about the song America the Beautiful this week. We are using the book by Robert Sabuda to explore different areas of the United States. The book brings to life the Golden Gate Bridge, a farm in the Great Plains, the Statue of Liberty and many other beautiful places throughout America. The students will be learning the words to the song as well as the meaning behind them. We will be watching a clip of Ray Charles singing his version of the song as well.
Musically students will be working on singing a melody and identifying a verse and refrain form in a song.
