Thank you Chorus!

Thank you very much to our chorus, band and orchestra students for a wonderful Fine Arts Festival. I have had a wonderful year with the chorus am very proud of their work all year. They were so energetic even though it was early in the morning.

We will not be having any more chorus rehearsals this year. Good luck to all of the 5th grade students. I hope that the 4th graders will continue on in chorus next year!

Summer Music Camp!

District 204 offers wonderful opportunities for summer music camps! Students who are going into 4th and 5th grade next year may sign up for the Summer Orff Camp and students already in band or orchestra can sign up for band and orchestra camp.

Congratulations 2nd Graders!!!

Congratulations to our second grade students for a wonderful concert last night! I am so proud of how you took ownership of your music. Your singing voices were great, your instruments sounded fantastic and you knew your individual parts well!!

2nd Grade concert

Our second grade concert is only days away! The second grade classes will be performing their Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00. The students need to be at school at 6:30 so that they can be ready to be on stage at 7:00. All of the students will be singing, dancing and playing instruments. The students have written their own speaking parts to explain to our families what they have learned in music this year. I look forward to seeing all of our 2nd grade families at the concert!

May Watts Chorus News!

Our chorus has a very busy spring! The students will be performing at Hill Middle School on Thursday, March 22nd at 7:00. Due to a teacher institute day on our regular rehearsal day, we will be rehearsing on Thursday the 22nd at 8:00 am. Orchestra students will go to orchestra for the first half of rehearsal and then they will join chorus.
