We had a great first week back to school! All of the grade levels were making music within minutes of coming into class. Our first and second graders already reviewed mallet techniques and were playing Orff instruments. The third, fourth and fifth grade classes enjoyed some play party games and rhythm games. Play party games are a great way to get singing and moving in a fun and relaxing way. We will be learning more play party games throughout the year.
If you child is in fourth or fifth grade, there will be information available on this blog about singing up for chorus after Labor Day. All fourth and fifth grade students also need a recorder for music. You can find the form for that on the right side of the blog. Please fill it out and include $5.00 if your child needs a recorder.
Please check out the page for each grade level. You will be able to see more about what each grade level is working on in class.
Have a great week!
Mrs. Dunafin
